Craig's Cottage is a sturdy Dartmoor dwelling built of local granite beneath a slate roof with part rendered walls. The nearby village amenities include a post office with shop and petrol station, a pub and a Dartmoor visitor centre. Access by foot to the surrounding moor is easy. The B3212 leads directly to Exeter which is approximately 20 miles away. The ancient stannary town of Chagford is approximately 8 miles away and Tavistock is approximately 12 miles. There are school bus services provided subject to catchment areas.
